www.eurospares.co.uk
After Eurospares had greatly outgrown the initial (flat file) website that I had developed for them it was agreed
that a new database driven site was required.
I spawned the idea to base the new website around the parts books from which we worked and publish all of the exploded
diagrams and parts literature on the net.
The distinct advantage of this was that by supplying customers with all of the information required to find the parts
needed themselves it should reduce the need for direct contact with the sales team, allowing them to concentrate in other areas.
With the idea of a web-based stock control system powering the website, customers would be able to order parts in stock
directly via the website. Essentially creating a 24 hour sales force.
With the good fortune of having price lists available from Ferrari, we could integrate these lists into the website, also allowing
customers to order parts that we didn't actually hold in stock.

In order to tackle the project a team of developers from Graphite Design worked alongside Simon Diss to design and develop the website.
The website has proven extremely successful and the unique idea of providing parts diagrams on-line has greatly increased
the potential customer base, eradicating any language through the use of imagery.

www.casa.italia.co.uk
The Casa Italia website was very much design
oriented. I decided to go for natural colours to
portray the peace and tranquility of Tuscan life.
The sunflowers were then used as a side
boarder to brighten up the site and really bring it
out to catch the attention of the potential customer.
The peaceful feelings are further anchored by the
solitary image located at the bottom right corner,
highlighting that potential clients could be located
in an idealistic location with nothing round them
to inhibit their relaxation.
|
 |
 |
 |
The central image beneath the logo has been given an 'aged painting' effect to bring into context the history that Tuscany has surrounding it.
A short description of what casa-italia does is on the homepage to entice the viewer into the website and explore the opportunities casa-italia
has to offer.
|
 |
The remainder of the website is very image rich with pictures of houses for sale and examples of projects managed.
It was agreed by both myself and the client that at the end of the day, when you are trying to sell someone a lifestyle,
a picture is worth a thousand words.

www.grimaldiengineering.co.uk
Grimaldi Engineering is a Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati service specialist based in Halstead, Essex.
Started in May 2006, Roberto Grimaldi understood that web marketing is an extremely important tool in starting a new business.
|
 |
 |
 |
With the market Grimaldi Engineering was entering the website
needed to be very clean cut, professional, stylish and cutting edge
for them to not just compete, but get ahead.
It is understood that the core market for Grimaldi Engineering are
enthusiasts that want their car looked after to the highest quality,
without having to pay main dealer prices. They look to be treated as
a real person as opposed to just another car to get finished and out
of the door as quickly as possible.
A clean cut design signifies a clean and professional workplace
which immediately encourages custom. No one driving an Italian
Supercar would take their car to an unclean garage!
Grimaldi Engineering offers an open door policy, meaning that you
are very welcome to look around the facilities and talk to the
mechanics, unlike many other specialist garage.
|
 |
To accommodate this, an ASP self upload gallery was integrated into the site to allow staff to upload photos of the workshop and cars they have
worked on.
As well as emphasizing the open door policy, Grimaldi's ability to upload photos means that the site is constantly being updated and changing,
encouraging customers to return to the site. The homepage also has a random picture generator in built so that every time you enter the site a
different image will appear in the central box.
Simple changes such as this, bring a fresh look to the site and make it that little bit more exciting for returning customers.
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
An on-line contact form was
in built to the website to
simplify the contact process
and encourage customers to
get in touch.
This method has the distinct
advantage over an email link
as it is completely web
based and does not rely on
any third party email software
being installed on the
customer's machine.
|
|
 |
A custom SD3 page was incorporated into the website to promote the advanced diagnostics equipment Grimaldi Engineering has available. A
number of links were place throughout the site pointing to this particular page in order to help promote the equipment and make it as
visible as possible.
Please feel free to browse www.grimaldiengineering.co.uk and enjoy the world of the Ferrari Owner. Your views are always welcome and can be expressed at the contact section.
